Her eyes were full of rivers,
Her heart lays on the floor,
She took her pain and mourning,
To feel her hurt no more,
She thought of what her friend had said:
"I'll never make you cry,
I'm always here until the end,
forever...you and I.
Tonight you'll find a letter,
Encrusted all with gold,
It's not the gold that's special,
It's what it will behold."
That night as they were walking home,
"God destined death on me"
Her friend took way and copped the blow,
She gave her life for free,
She screamed for God to give her back,
"I love her" out she cried,
"She's mine," she said, "forever God!"
And in her arms she died,
"How could you," she screamed "my pride and joy,
my one and only treasure!!,
My friend, you said you're always here,
you and I forever!"
The rain poured down like heaven's tears,
Crashing to the floor,
She took her pain and mourning...
To feel her hurt no more,
That very night her friend had died..
she found upon her bed,
A gold encrusted letter,
Just as her friend had said,
It read: "My friend, I love you,
and all that you are worth,
I gave you flesh and skin,
I heard your cry at birth,
I held you in my shaky arms,
I've watched you grow up quick,
I made sure you were healthy,
and helped you, when you're sick,
I'm proud to be your mother,
I'm proud to be your friend,
Remember what I told you?
"I'm here until the end."
You probably think I'm crazy,
But this is just the start,
I wouldn't ever leave you,
I'll be there in your heart,
I'm at the gates of heaven,
upon the steps of death,
I'll see you once the time has come,
to breathe your final breath,
You're in my heart my precious child,
You know I'll always care,
Until the day we meet again,
I'll wait to see you there.
Upon the letter made of gold,
The words addressed so clear:
For my precious danielle,
I'll be waiting for you here
