When I took that leap
Across the abyss?
I thought you were there
I thought you would catch me
But you didn't

When I set my foot
Into the darkness?
I thought you were right behind me
I thought you would pull me back
But you didn't
What was I thinking
When I tried to help you?
To bring you back?
I thought I could help
I thought you could be saved
But you couldn't
Not by me
Not by the one
You had turned your back on
And ignored
You wouldn't let me
And so
You're gone
But so am I.
