Today was the day

Today was the day that i started to cry
today was the day that i missed your eyes
today was the day that one life ended
and my heart sank now standing here undefended

today was the day that i finally cared
today was the day that just wasn't fair
today was the day that i realized
how important you are in my life

today was the day that i can not laugh
today was the day where i look at the past
today was the day that i need you most
but you are gone and i am left alone

today was the day that i doubted me
today was the day that i wouldn't see
today was the day that i cant control
the tears down my face so steadily roll

today was the day that i never wanna live
today was the day i wondered what more i could give
today was the day that death over came
and made one person suddenly lose the game

today was the day that i couldn't stand
today was the day i lost sight of your hands
today was the day i lost a good friend
today was the day your life was put to an end

i know this poem isn't the greatest but this was what i wrote then i first heard the news about my friends death. RIP Jen Jen
