They say every good thing comes to an end
Somehow, I never thought that to apply to my best friend.
You see, I had this friend for 15 years
We were always side by side through the laughs and the tears.
It all started as kids playing softball in the park
A great friendship sure did spark.
From then on we were always side my side
Each the shoulder on which the other cried.
It's a great feeling to know someone is always there for you
Whether you are happy or blue.
Through the years friends had come and gone
But not us, we stood strong.
Sadly, the day came that to this day my heart cannot bear
When in a time of need, I looked beside me and she was not there.
