The Pain

When she left
I didn't know what I'd do
The pain I'd feel inside
The past that I can't undo

I didn't know if I'd ever
Have a friend as true
She was a blessing to my life
And there was nothing good enough to do

I couldn't begin to repay her
In any possible way
I thank my God up above
For her each and every day

She has pulled me up
When I was down
She was my friend
When my ball hit the ground

She gently bent down
And picked me up off the floor
She dusted the dirt off
And helped me once more

I don't think I could ever
Start to thank her enough
She helps me when I'm weak
She helps me stay tough

She's my best friend
In this world of harsh and cruel men
Even if I hurt her'.
I think she'd forgive again and again!!

I'd never cause her grief
Or intentional harm
She's been there for me so much
She's my third arm

I love her as a great friend
And I always will
No matter what
Nothing can break our deal!!
