Me and My Best Friend

BEFORE

I walked this world alone
For so many lonely years
No one to smile with
No one to dry my tears

I walked in darkness
In me there was a hole
I was sad and lonely
I had lost my soul

There were days
which grew worse and worse
I felt like God had
put me under a curse

I hated myself
Until i was such a sad little sod
That i finally gave up living my way
And started living for God

Slowly i realized
A shadow walked beside me
And there was light
And revealed my buddy!

NOW

She laughs with me
and holds me when i cry
she helps with my goals
and helps me reach the sky

She has a smile
thats so contagious
although somethings she does
is what I'd call outrageous

I love her for her
and she loves me for me
we are the bestest friends
that there could ever be

We will have each other
our love will never end
it just us two
me and my best friend
