I wish

I wish I had someone
To tell me they care
I wish I had someone
To say I'll be there

But then again I don't
For the last person that did
Broke both those promises
And now they are rid

But still it would be nice
Once in a while
To share things with someone
Who cared with a smile

So maybe one day
I'll have a new best friend
But until that day comes
My heart will be on the mend
